JANUZAJ DIDN’T SEIZE HIS OPPORTUNITY

Mourinho said that Adnan Januzaj’s future has been decided when queried on just what his plans for the young Kosovo-born was.

Who imagined such a backward growth 4 years after the 22-year old rose above the veterans in the United squad to drag over a win against Sunderland, scoring two goals in the process.

Chants of the new Ronaldo and Messi were rolled out immediately and within a short time then coach DavidMoyes got him to commit to a 5-year deal in a desperate attempt to shield the young light away from the elite predators of European football. It was the time when the Red Devils were facing the prospect of having a heavy crash off their perch as Moyes’ first season in the club kept looking like a nightmare.

United’s abject display for much of the first season in the post-Ferguson era connived to give Januzaj the kind of opportunities hardly bestowed on teenagers anywhere in the world much less a club of United’s stature.

The following season under was expected to be a proper break out season for the youngster.Unfortunately, by January,he was on the plane to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season. A return of 6 appearances and 0 goals showed Adnan didn’t fare better in Germany. Read more »

MOURINHO DEFENDS RASHFORD

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has risen in defence of his striker Marcus Rashford despite the criticisms against him.

Before finding his form in front of goal recently, Rashford scored just one goal from the start of the New Year until early April.

On the other hand, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw have both been publicly criticized by Mourinho for their performance within the same period. Mourinho explained his management style, saying:

“It is not a psychological approach. It is common sense. When you give everything you have, I cannot demand more from you. Marcus, even when not performing especially well, he was giving absolutely everything. I could never demand more from him.”

Mourinho added that he only needed to encourage him to do more but that he was largely happy with the performance of the player. Read more »

IAN WRIGHT HITS OUT AT GARRY MONK FOR BURST UP

Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright has massively criticized Leeds United head coach, Gary Monk for his actions after the 37-year-old got in the way of Huddersfield boss, David Wagner during the Yorkshire derby game in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.

The game at the John Smith’s stadium was leveled 1-1 entering into the final minutes, but Terriers defender, Michel Hefele produced a late goal that sparked celebrations from the crowd.

Rio Ferdinand backs Extension of Alexis’s Contract

Rio Ferdinand reckons that the contract extension of Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal has to happen on his terms only and not on the terms of the Gunners because in the current situation, Sanchez is at the height of his ability, while, the Gunners are over-reliant on him and can’t do away with him.

As per Ferdinand, whatever demands Sanchez throws at the Gunners, those demands will have to be met. The Gunners wouldn’t want a separation because they know that if separation happens they are only going to be left half a team especially in terms of the goal-scoring threat that they are posing these days.

Sanchez’s contract is surely going to come up for a talk at some point in near future at the Emirates Stadium as the Chili international has entered the last quarter of his contract and Ferdinand says he would not be surprised if he gets to know that the striker has asked for a sum which Arsenal has never paid to any of its players. Jack Rodwell is eager to represent England at the international stage

Jack Rodwell wants to get back with the England national football team and get consistent playing time.

The 25 year old English midfielder dropped down from the pecking order of the national side but he wants to get it back, this will be a very difficult dream to accomplish for Jack Rodwell as he is not even a regular starter for Sunderland.

Sunderland is a relegation threatened club and Jack Rodwell has not managed to secure a starting role spot of the Premier League club. Injuries is something that has seriously affected the playing career of Jack Rodwell as he has missed out from a number of matches for Sunderland but even when he is fully fit, Rodwell has had to settle with a place on the sidelines for the majority of the season.

Sunderland’s Jack Rodwell said: “Since January I’ve been completely fine. I’ve hardly missed a session and am feeling fit. In the last three years, this has been my biggest run where I have not been injured.’’ Read more »

Injuries are hampering Jack Rodwell’s progression

Jack Rodwell joined Sunderland on August of 2014 but the time that he has spent in the Stadium of Light has been a disappointing one as the English midfielder has struggled trying to get consistent playing time and this is mostly due to the vast amount of injuries that he continues on picking up.

There was a point in time when Rodwell was hailed as one of the brightest players to have emerged from the youth academy of Everton but a string of successive injuries have forced him to stay out of the playing ground for a significantly long period of time.

Sam Allardyce needs all the help he can get in order to push Sunderland above the relegation zone. The Premier League club has been struggling trying to collect victories at a steady level and is currently located in the 19th spot after only being able to win 5 matches from their opening 22 games.

Unfortunately for Rodwell, he has not been able to make a significant impact and help out Sunderland in their journey of escaping the bottom drop zone.

The English midfielder recently made his way to Germany as he visited the former Bayern Munich doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wolhlfahrt as Rodwell was trying to find out why exactly is he sustaining so many physical issues but things haven’t been improving much as injuries is something that has always troubled Rodwell and it has seriously affecting his growth as a professional player.

There is no club in the world that is willing to offload money in a player who is consistently getting injured. Read more »
